Do you listen?
I mean really
Do you listen?
The other day, I was speaking with a good friend
Actually, it was my wife
After being married for 29 years, I think you can imagine that we can pretty much finish each other’s sentences
But, then I learned that you still have to listen
I learned that when your emotions are running hot, you have to listen more than anticipate
Because sometimes you anticipate incorrectly
We were talking and she asked me a question:
Now, I’ve answered that same question a million times
I got frustrated
I let it show
And guess what
I was wrong
This happens over and over again in personal relationships.
If it happens at home, can’t it happen at work too?
