Samantha McCaughren, Business Editor of The Sunday Independent joined John to chat about the business news of the week with many businesses potentially facing into more restrictions, Samantha also talks through some of the industries that have come to the fore during the pandemic as well as Brexit and the impact it may have.

Tom Molloy, Director of Public Affairs & Communications at Trinity College Dublin, shares his thoughts on 2020 and discusses financial history and how one can draw similarities to the Victorian period. The UN Development Index was released earlier this week with Ireland ranked 2nd on the list, Tom discusses the importance of the index and what it means for Ireland.

Having been one of the first guests we spoke to at the beginning of the pandemic, Rachael Doyle, founder of The Arboretum Lifestyle & Garden Centre joined John for the last episode of The Bottom Line in 2020, discussing the positives to take from the year and how she has dealt with the challenges and the many setbacks that businesses have faced throughout 2020.

John spoke with Kieran Comerford, Head of Enterprise and Economic Development at the Local Enterprise Office in Carlow about the work that they have done throughout the year,  from assisting local businesses to pivot as well as rolling out various supports from Government.

Kieran also announced that Furniture & Design, based in Bagenalstown were the winners of The Business Box, an initiative which saw KCLR partnering with Carlow Local Enterprise Office to offer a €4,000 advertising package prize. Theresa Brennan of Furniture & Design spoke with John about the initiative and what it means for her business.
