Today, I chat with Patrick Rogers who teaches first grade. He has experience teaching high school as well as middle school. This former U.S. Marine shares how he takes the leadership qualities he has learned from the Corps and develops it within his students. Patrick is also a maker and tinkerer by heart and trains other teachers on how to integrate tech, and 3D printing into their curriculum.
Patrick also is an integral part of SCRATCHYCAD.COM. This block-based coding website is specifically designed for K-12 students and teachers in mind. Patrick is leading the curricular areas on this and designs age appropriate and meaningful 3D projects teachers like you can do in your classroom. I’ll be trying this out for sure with my students!
Patrick presented a hands-on workshop at the Maker Faire in New York City! If you are in the area, make sure you visit him and he can answer all of your questions on all things 3D Printing and coding in the classroom.
