Hello Warriors and Battle Buddies!
Welcome to A BATTLE WITHIN, Episode 072
A BATTLE WITHIN is about our life experiences and those of our guests living with and healing from Traumatic Brain Injuries with an emphasis on the Post Concussion Syndrome, otherwise known as (PCS)
The conversations are real, raw and uncensored from both the warrior and caregiver perspectives.
It is our desire that this platform be a useful way to create awareness around the invisible injury. We aim to help those in the battle, whether that is you the warrior or you the caregiver. We do this by offering the stories and resources we have found along our own journey.
Today we look at high school sports as it pertains to concussions, awareness and recovery. A recent robust study came out which serves to be the foundation for the conversation.
I promise that some of the statistics will surprise you and we pass along some good resources to help you and your student athletes along the way.
