Stephanie is an attorney, digital media consultant, and a former professional photographer. She is a co-founder of an influential non-profit dedicated to supporting military families and served as the organization's director of communications for 6 years.
Stephanie's writings and photographs have appeared in countless media outlets, magazines, art zines, and online publications and she is a sought-after public speaker on social media and military family topics.
Stephanie recently launched The Picture Ninja, offering photography tips and tutorials that make taking beautiful pictures easy for everyone.
Stephanie lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with her husband, their 3 rambunctious boys, a dog, two cats, 14 chickens, and way too many pairs of shoes. She's obsessed with mason jars, Instagram, and finding the perfect shade of gray paint.
Steph shares with us her definition of success:
"success isn't about how much I make or the titles that i have. If my husband thinks I'm amazing and creative and my kids one day say that I was always there for them... then that's what's important to me."

"I wish I had the perfect answer but I think my definition of success is constantly changing... it's definitely not what I expected, you know, I'm an attorney and I gotta tell ya it doesn't get more Type A / must succeed than that. So by that standard, I'm not where I pictured myself ten years ago but I'm learning to accept that and stop comparing myself to everyone around me."
