Daniel Willcocks first discovered a love of writing when he wrote a stage script as part of his English and Drama degree. It received such positive feedback, that’s when he realised he could perhaps make a living from his creativity.

After a few turns and twists via editing and marketing, Daniel wrote and published his first short story in 2015. Since then he’s gone from strength to strength and this year alone has written 35+ books in both his own name and as a ghostwriter.

We talk about the NaNoWriMo Camp he’s hosting next month. So if you’re looking to kick start your next project, or get to the end of your current one, this Camp will get you there.

He ran it last year, and it proved so that he kept it going all year, and has recently renamed it Activated Authors. 

Activated Authors is a community for both aspiring and established writers. It’s a private community, so it means everyone who is in there is there to contribute and support the other members.

Daniel talks me through the philosophy behind it, and what Activated Authors members can do inside the community.

Given how busy he is, I asked Daniel about his own productivity strategies and how he accomplishes so much in his day.

Daniel also reminds us to do what we love. Many people can get caught up in the money side of things, and whilst that’s important if you're a full-time writer, so is enjoying what you do. Stay passionate!
