TJ Tims talks with Kent about why he chose to write his PhD thesis on Plausibility Structures and the New Commandment (John 13:34-35), the 5 keys of Plausibility Structures and their significance in everyday thoughts, beliefs and actions, plus what worked and what didn’t in the recent pastoral succession at Immanuel Nashville, what it was like to fill founding pastor Ray Ortlund’s shoes, how the Lord called him into full time pastoral ministry, and much more. --- T.J. (Thomas Jason) Tims is the second Lead Pastor of Immanuel Nashville. He holds a PhD from the University of Aberdeen Scotland and a theology degree from King’s College London. T.J. was ordained into the Christian ministry by the First Baptist Church of Vincent, AL in 2008. T.J. and Jessica Tims have three daughters. The Tims family likes long evening walks to good pizzerias, followed by ice cream—or just ice cream.
