After loss we get to choose. We can choose to implode, wither, and let the grief drag us down. Or we can choose to heal, create, honor what we have lost, and live life more fully. Tech wizard and author Diandra Ford-Wing joins Jenn to share how after the loss of her aunt, her mother weakened and lost hope before dying just a few months later. This experience combined with only receiving 3 days off of work after her mom’s death led Diandra to quit her job, drop everything, and travel the world with her husband as part of a journey to properly mourn and heal.
She tells the powerful story of writing her book Red Bird along with her mom in the months leading up to her death and how that process truly honors the women she lost and transformed her along the way. Choosing to live life to the fullest has truly brought her so much beauty and opportunity. Listen to this episode for an opportunity to pause and reflect on the challenges and losses you are currently facing so that you can face them with a full cup.
