This week Amanda "Bertie" Bone shares her story being born with a congenital heart defect. We talk about her long journey through multiple open-heart surgeries, the challenges she faced deciding to become a mother, and what the technical definition of living is, since she has a machine that tells her heart when to beat, and how she was a guinea pig of sorts, and one of the first few people with a congenital heart defect to live into her 40s.
