The hills are alive with the sound of vuvuzelas! Fabio Capello’s Lions rocked up to South Africa with one thing on their mind: bringing football home.

A handful of England greats had started to hit their peak. Gerrard, Lampard & Rooney have all arguably never gone into a tournament in better form.

However, injuries and all manner of calamity had scuppered the weeks leading up to the campaign.

England’s opening game, held at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, saw a Star-Spangled USA team attempt to further disrupt our boy’s party.

Can we put the Capello Index, Goalkeeping struggles and captaincy strippage behind us and deliver a performance for the ages?
