In this episode, I interview Minika Lowe, a 2nd grade teacher at Clarendon Elementary here in San Francisco, who took my maternity leave when I gave birth to our second son, Ethan.  As a fourth year teacher, she offers great advice for new teachers (ones that I wish I knew when I was in my 4th year!) on being organized, setting routines, positive perspectives and her teaching experience in Japan under the JET program!  We’ve been a very helpful resource to her as loves the Waterfall call and response technique from our podcast Episode #2: Attention Getters and my Design/Writing first day of school activity!
