The medieval visionary nun Hildegard of Bingen received powerful messages from Spirit and was commanded by a Divine Voice to speak and write what she had heard. However, a sense of false modesty prevented her from doing so, and the more she held back from sharing what she had heard, the more ill she became. And they were astonished beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.” -Mark 7:37
