War correspondent Joe Galloway, the "Ernie Pyle" of Vietnam, passed away last week. His best-selling book "We Were Soldiers Once...And Young" told the story of America's first major battle in Vietnam at the I Drang Valley. I knew Joe, we emailed each other often, he was my friend. He also covered the fall of Saigon in 1975.
