The things that John talks about in his epistle: carnal allurements, enticement for the eyes and the life of empty show all keep us from doing God’s will. The prophetess Anna, awaiting the Messiah in the temple, was not trapped by the things of this world, and she is remembered by name in the Word of God.

Las cosas de las que habla Juan en su epístola: las atracciones carnales, las tentaciones para los ojos y la presunción, todas ellas nos impiden hacer la voluntad de Dios. La profetiza Ana, que esperaba al Mesías en el templo, no estaba atrapada por las cosas de este mundo y se le recuerda con su nombre en la Palabra de Dios.
