The Urban Dictionary defines woke as “being aware of the truth behind things 'the man' doesn't want you to know”. Meanwhile, a concurrent definition signals a shift in meaning to “the act of being very pretentious about how much you care about a social issue”

That 2nd definition is what gets me and I think this is where we're going as a country. I'm not a racist, or a homophobe, or a misogynist, I hate everyone equally, but I'm also not pretentious about it. If you listen to a few words I say here and there but don't listen for the whole message, the real message, then you're part of the problem. Are we as a country this sensitive, or is this the media and a small group of people driving this crazy train? You can't be too afraid to have the tough conversations. Speak your damn mind without hesitation. Don't be a woke joke.
