In Acts chapter 3 we read about the healing of a crippled man. This man was crippled from birth and begged for a living, so his case looked hopeless if you judge it by appearances. But because Peter and John were thinking about “what is God’s will?” they knew that God wanted to heal this man.
The beggar wanted money but Peter and John didn’t have any. Peter tells the man, “Look at me.” Peter is preparing him to receive a spiritual gift. Even though the man had his mind on silver and gold, God had a much better gift in store for him — complete healing of his limbs so that he could walk again. God has wonderful gifts to give His children if we tune in spiritually and pay attention.
