This week’s question comes from Giselle.  

She wants to know: I hear a lot of stories, including yours, of bloggers who are making 1000s who started their blog before 2017. Do you have any success stories of bloggers making 1000s of dollars who started their blog after, for example, 2019? That would be super helpful to hear.

This is a GREAT question, and one that makes a ton of sense given how much things have changed in even the last couple of years. And the truth is, the way to make real money from blogging has shifted. 

I started Root + Revel, my former blog, at the end of 2015. BUT — I started a second business, KateKordsmeier.com, in 2019. That was a brand new website started from scratch. And it actually grew faster than Root + Revel grew.

So I’ve had experience with launching and growing in really different economic seasons and really different digital landscapes.
