#088: When do we reject clients ?

During this episode Karim talk about the clients selections. We are not necessarily a good fit for every client, and not every client is a good fit for us. It’s important to to remember that the goal of the coaching partnership is to help our client achieve a certain goal or target. We need to have a proper match with our clients to be able to help them the way they want.

What’s up everybody. This is Katie Romney and welcome to the coaching secrets podcast.
So the big question coaches us is this lot coaches like us get trained in how to coach them, let them know, struggling on like how to monetize this variable skill, how to build a solid business, what to do next, to grow and to be on the top of this industry. This is the question, and this podcast will give you the answer. My name is Carrie mammary, and this is coaching secrets podcast.
Do we’re going to talk about the importance of proper matching between the coach and the client. Now it’s, it’s very important to highlight that it’s not every co, not every client is a proper much for the coach and not every coach is a proper much for the client.
Now, each it’s it’s, it’s like each client he’s coming with a certain goal. He wants to achieve something. He want to improve something. He want to reach something, whether in his professional life, in his personal life, in something related to relationship, maybe wellness, maybe fitness, maybe.
So there’s is a huge variety. So he’s there to achieve a goal. And as, as, as coaches, our role and our evaluation for ourselves and for this partnership is our capability to help this client achieve his goal. Now, we highlighted in previous episodes that the communication and the connection between the level of connection and matching between the client and the customer, uh, and the coach is with, hi, hi, I height importance.
And it’s, it’s, uh, it’s directly reflected on the type of results achieved from this relationship, because there needs to be a kind of harmony that it needs to be a kind of synergy that it needs to be, to be like very high level of connection trust between the two members of this partnership. So that’s the client he can open up and the coach can, can really feel and, and like connect and with the high level with the client and listen with the high, with high level, um, to, to what the clients is saying, not saying.
So the importance of matching and the importance of the connection between the two parts is, is extremely important. Now we know very well that this is not something that can happen by default. Now, the person with the highest flexibilities wins and for a coach, flexibility is a high importance skill that he has to master.
It’s not optional, but not always. We can, we can, we can be that flexible in certain situations. And it’s not, it’s not always the same thing. Also available with the client, maybe the client, he doesn’t like the coach.
So if he doesn’t like the coach for a reason or another, but not saying that the coach is good or is bad. Now, this is not the point, but we, we, it happens that we like certain people who were, that we find some commonalities with them. And we like, we don’t like some other people.
And as coaches, we try initially to too much, and to do like some much in some mirroring whether or not the voice, but the language, um, like texts use it, and the way of communication with the client in order to connect him with him button. But it’s, it’s, it’s happening that some clients, uh, they, the, the, the gap between them and the coach, the gap between the coach and the client is a huge, maybe, maybe, maybe the client is, is with a total different personality than the coach.
