The invitation must have been referring to the Mac Mini. It was updated at long last. Much like the strategy Apple is employing with iPhone and iPad, you would do well to avoid the base model. Also keep in mind that you will need to make a decision about RAM at the time of purchase since it is not upgradeable.
The highlight of the event was the new iMac with 5K Retina display.
