In this sermon on Luke 2:39-52, Pastor Kevin considers the spiritual growth of Jesus. After returning to Nazareth, Jesus grew in wisdom and favor with God and man, showing that His spiritual growth involved deepening understanding and faithful obedience. When He remained in the temple at twelve, engaging with the teachers, He revealed His unique identity as the Son of God, fully devoted to His Father’s will. Yet, by also submitting to His earthly parents, Jesus modeled for us that true spiritual growth means pursuing God’s wisdom while walking in humility and obedience in everyday life.
