Welcome to our new Soulpreneur 411 series — where I answer your questions about building a business that serves your whole life. Today I'm answering a question about how I got into business development and marketing as an entrepreneur.
This week’s question comes from Alicia.
She asks, How did you get into this business development world? How did you figure out that that was what you were great at?
I've probably told my story many times on this podcast and how I got started in all of this. I probably haven't told it exactly through the lens of this question.
So today, I’m diving into the winding journey that brought me here, and why I cannot say enough about listening to your own gut, your own intuition.
All along the way, I had people who told me I was crazy. And it’s not like I didn’t have moments of questioning myself. Should I leave a stable corporate job? Should I leave a lucrative “dream” travel/food writing job? Should I launch out and do my own thing?
But somewhere, there was a deeper knowing, and I had to follow it. And in the Incubator, that’s a big part of what I’m teaching women now, because there’s so much power in just getting quiet, tuning out the noise, and listening to what you really want.
