What We Do Matters

 

1 If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.

Colossians 3:1-2

 

26 But his master answered him, ‘You wicked and slothful servant! You knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I scattered no seed?

What if we only knew then, what we know now?

 

How do we live with an eternal focus?

1. God owns everything.

 

14 “For it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted to them his property.

Matthew 25:14

 

The tithe is a declaration of God's ownership.

 

30 “Every tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the trees, is the Lord's; it is holy to the Lord.

Leviticus 27:30

 

36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

2. You will give to God an account.

 

19 Now after a long time the master of those servants came and settled accounts with them.

To become a faithful steward, you have to see yourself as kingdom investors, rather than earthly spenders.
