Hey, what’s up, everybody. This is Karim Amri and welcome to the coaching secrets podcast. So the big question coaches us is this hello coach like us get trained in how to coach then left the room, struggling on like how to monetize this valuable skill, how to build a solid business, what to do next to grow and to be on the top of this industry. This is the question, and this podcast will give you the answer. My name is Karim Amri, and this is the coaching secrets podcast.
Do they ever get to talk about one of the important documents in the coaching partnership? In fact, it’s, uh, one of the first documents to be used during any coaching partnership, which is the coaching contract. Now it may be a, maybe we think that there is not a lot of details to include, or maybe we don’t need a contract in a coaching partnership while in the reality, this is one of the most important documents as, as I mentioned in the, in the partnership.
And, uh, I guess starting coaching should not begin before finalizing and having a signed contract. Now, what’s, what’s, what’s the importance of this contract and what do we have to include in this contract? Now, the importance of this contract, maybe, in the beginning, it’s not that clear, but it happened that, uh, during the coaching partnership, maybe, uh, the client, he passed by, uh, like certain conditions or new happening that things that can happen in his life or at work or a company, uh, like, uh, decide the vision or they changed some managers.
So when we are protected, protected with the clear contract, even if there are some changes within the, uh, organizations that we are dealing with or the clients, we are still securing our contract, now we can be flexible and changing, like maybe, maybe, uh, changing some schedules, okay. The scan happened and do, we can be flexible on that, but we, we, we are secure that we are not stopping our contract for a reason or another.
Also, eh, the contract is, is clearly stating that the frequency and the different schedule now, w w we’ll come, we’ll come to, uh, to the different paths to be included in the, in the contract. But it’s, it’s setting a clear path, whether it’s a contract of six months or a year, it’s, it’s important to, uh, when the contract is signed for the coach, he will know, and he can plan his six months.
He can plan his year. He, again, will know when he can get new clients. When, who maybe, maybe his schedule is full, for example, and he’s not, he’s stopping, like getting a new client while if in the middle of this, one of his big, like organizations that he’s dealing with, or one of his clients he’s stopping suddenly this will affect like his schedule and this will affect his income to affect a lot of things.
Now, this is when it comes to importance too, to have the contract. Now we need to include in this contract now in any contracts, the contracts should include the name of the coach and the name of the organization, or the person that he’s coaching. The second thing to be included in the, of the contract. Now, whether the contract is six months is whether the contract is one year, whether the contract is 10 months.
So the duration of the contract needs to be included. The date of starting of the partnership like of the contract should be included also there in the contract. Another thing to be included is the frequency and the, and the, and the duration of each session. For example, if the sessions are of one, our, each two weeks, for example, or one
