Deuteronomy 11:18-21, 26-28; Romans 3:21-28; Matthew 7:15-29
When looking for a house people consider many things. How many bedrooms and bathrooms does it have? Do you want a traditional or open floor plan? Many people fail to consider one of the most important things, what kind of foundation is it built on? The foundation supports and sustains everything else about the house. If it has a faulty foundation the whole structure will soon crumble. If it has a firm foundation, not only will it stand the tests of time, but you can renovate and improve everything else without fear. The same is true for the real Christian. If we build our lives and faith on the right foundation we will stand in the trials of life, and it is the reason God can renovate our lives into the magnificent temple He desires.
