To some salespeople out there, every lead is a nail and they think they are the perfect hammer. Guess what player, YOU'RE NOT! "Close at all costs" is one of the stupidest sales phrases I ever heard. Not everyone will want your product or service. This is just the reality, everyone does not want and/or can't afford every product. So what should you do? Be a fiduciary. A fiduciary is a person who is looking out for the best interest of their client, so instead of just pushing your product onto everyone, try talking to your prospect and figuring out what is in their best interest.
The other thing is this- You don't want every client. Trust me on this. Some clients think THEY are the hammer and you can't get out of the way. If this is the case, don't let them be your client. You have the right to fire your clients in the same way they can fire you. Stop pushing, people can smell desperation.
