I am conscious.
I was telling a great mentor of mine that I thought he was the smartest person I knew. He replied, “I’m not smart; I’m conscious.” Some of the smartest people I’ve known were clueless to what a happy life is. You can seek knowledge, but the greatest thing everyone seeks—is to feel good. When we are awake and we are conscious, we are then able to see the paths to make our lives a fulfilling beautiful experience, not just at the end of our time, but through the whole journey.
How can you be more awake in in your life? Where have you fallen asleep at the wheel in your life? I think it’s not so much that we aren’t conscious or don’t care, but that we are overwhelmed with all the stuff happening in our lives that we have learned to operate more on auto pilot. How can you focus on what’s important to you? Change happens with small consistent improvements so today, what are the 3 emotions that you want to experience? Make that your mission to create more ways to feel those things and I can guarantee the more you become interested on what makes you feel alive, then the more alive you will become in your life.
