This episode is all about what’s coming in the tech world and how it plays into education!  Augmented reality (AR) like Google Cardboard, Pokemon Go, etc., virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) are all here to stay and can be used to go on “field trips”, teach empathy and perhaps spark something big!  Who doesn’t want a robot that cleans our homes automatically? Robotics– building and programming robots allows for critical thinking and collaboration while helping humanity.  Are we preparing our students for jobs that don’t yet exist?  Technology is here to stay and we can’t stop it.  So, we might as well embrace it and use it as an amazing and motivating teaching tool!  We’re also keeping an eye out on coding, artificial intelligence products such as Google Home, Amazon Alexa, etc. and the Race to Mars!  Space X and NASA are doing amazing things and with the highly anticipated release of the new movie, Hidden Figures, now is the time to be inspired to go to Mars!
