Throw a rock in any direction and you’re likely to hit a TV show or a book that encourages you to “follow your heart.” But the prophet Isaiah was clear when he wrote, “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?” Sometimes even church members – sometimes even preachers – offer the same worldly advice, and it is not from God.
