Brendan Gay is a young comedian out of Chicago. He's also a very interesting guy. For the past year, literally 52 weeks, he's been traveling around the US telling jokes on shows all over. Meanwhile he's been holding down a day job.

How'd he do it? He's got relentless hustle, trust in himself, and reminds himself all the time that one day we're all going to die.

In this conversation we talk about what it took for him to quit his six-figure a year job and move to Chicago to take on an art form he loved but didn't have much experience in, and how that same drive led him to embark on a year-long tour of America by road comic-ing.
