As I sat there, watching the 2006 romantic comedy She’s The Man, on my laptop via Zoom screen share, I couldn’t help but wonder...am *I* the Man? Anyways, that’s a question for later. It starts off strong with a bad (but brave) Al Pacino impression and it only gets better (worse) from there!
Talking points: Al Pacino in Frankie and Johnny (1991), Channing Tatum, The Amanda Bynes Cinematic Universe, Letterboxd Corner, William Shakespeare’s thoughts on modern renditions of his work, our “not-like-other-girls” phases, our childhood and teenage selves, dealmaker vs dealbreaker segment, iconic lines, and flashing.
