Blake Lewis finds the Songs Inside (and outside of) American Idol, where he was the runner up in 2007. Deidre grew up a child of the seventies in Idaho; Blake, an eighties child, hails from Washington. They share the same mother, a love for the geography and air of the northwest United States, and a shared passion for all things music. Deidre and Blake learned of each other when Deidre was searching for her birth roots. On this episode, they discuss their reactions to discovering their sibling connection. They also, for the first time, talk about his time on American Idol. (Spoiler alert; it was EPIC).
