In 1 Chronicles 19 & 20, David tries to show kindness to a known enemy nation with his peacemaking heart, but his kindness is returned with war. The war the enemy started ended up costing a lot of lives. Joab urged the army of God to be strong and trust the Lord. Their plan was to divide and conquer but come to each other's aid and support if it was needed. We are to do the same in the body of Christ. We are one army united in a front against the same enemy. We each have battles we face and we need to encourage each other and be humble enough to receive encouragement as well. We are to be united as one body which means we don't battle alone. We are a team under God. We are on the victorious team and we need to stand with each other without waiving until the final victory is declared. No matter what we face around us, we need to continue to trust in God through it without wavering. God is faithful and His promises are true and eternal. He's got us and in Him, we will see the final and eternal victory through Jesus - our Lord and Savior for all eternity.
