* In 1 Corinthians 12 Paul outlines the spiritual gifts (he mentioned 19 total in his letters).
* Because we’re a body we don’t all have the same gift and serve the same function.
* But people are sinful, so a bunch of different people within the same body will cause friction at times.
* So what are we to do?
* Paul answers that in 1 Corinthians 13 - we are to love one another.
* To walk in love is to walk in GRACE.
* You can walk in your gift and run people over.
* But if you walk in grace then you use your gift to build people up, not tear them down.
* Walking in grace is all about recognizing God is the giver of the gift and He gave it to you for His glory and the good of others.
* When you walk in grace like this, which is the spirit of love, your gift will become exponentially powerful.
* When you walk in grace you see others as family.
* You’ll be gentle and kind (fruits of the Spirit) and not lace into them with truth.
* You’ll not seek to chop or pierce with your sword, but to point with it.
* You’ll do this because you’ll feel compassion for them.
* Your gift then becomes something they will appreciate!
* Your GIFT only has the power to transform when it is exercised with GRACE!
