In 1 Corinthians 15 & 16, Paul reminded the Church of the simpleness of the Gospel of Jesus. We as humans tend to complicate things and Jesus made it so easy. Jesus died for our sins. He was buried. He was raised from death on the 3rd day. If you repent and confess with your heart and mouth that Jesus is your Messiah - your Savior - and that God did indeed raise Him from the dead and because of Jesus, you will be raised to life with Him as well - you are saved. You are a child of the Most High God. You are an heir to the Throne and have an eternal Home waiting. That's the bottom line of the Gospel message of salvation - the message God wants everyone to hear and have the opportunity to receive. Because Jesus was resurrected, death has no sting. Jesus gives us victory over sin and death. The world, the enemy, the lies, they are all defeated because of Jesus. Because of Jesus, we have life, victory, and peace like nothing else this temporary world can offer. In a stadium full of sports fans, the crowd goes wild when their team wins. Well, our Savior has won. We need to be shouting from the rooftops because we have all victory through Jesus.
