1. The assumption in this passage is that every believer is to help build the church. How have you been engaged in that process? Why do you think Paul commands believers to "take care" in this matter?

2. In verse 11 Paul declares that Jesus Christ is the foundation of the church. What are some implications of this truth? Is a church really a church if it does not preach the true gospel?

3. Read I Corinthians 2:1-5. How has the "wood, hay, straw" of human wisdom crept into the church? How could/should the "gold, silver, precious stones" of biblical truth be utilized to build the church?

4. Have you thought much about standing before the Lord to give an account for how you have lived your Christian life and served the Lord? What thoughts does this Day engender? How does/should this coming Day motivate you to greater service.

5. Spend some time praying specifically for opportunities to build God's church this week. Allow the Bema Seat of Christ to motivate you to greater and more careful service.
