In 1 Corinthians 5, the Lord encourages us to run from temptations of sin and chase a lifestyle of pursuing Jesus desperately instead. Jesus wants our lives filled with His goodness, His presence, His joy, His peace, and His love. Sin destroys us in every way - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Sin is the one thing that brings forth its own judgment. Jesus won't force us to choose Him. If we pursue sin, He will let us have our way. Jesus doesn't want us to experience sin. That's why He came and died for us, to save us from sin and destruction. We can choose to passionately stay laser focused on Jesus and on the truth of His Word. It will lead to greater things than we could ever imagine on our own. The Lord wants us to walk sincerely with Him so we can receive all He has in store for us. He will give us the strength we need to keep moving forth walking by His Spirit.
