* Paul isn’t saying he became “part of the gang” to make people like him.
* He was saying that he died to his liberties so he could lead those weaker than him to the Lord.
* He was willing to give up his rights for his responsibility.
* ** He was “giving up” his liberties, not “taking up” new liberties to become like others. **
* His master ambition was to help those weaker in the faith than him - to win them over for Christ.
* If this is your master ambition then you can trust your discernment.
* His goal was to WIN them to Jesus, so he ran in such a way so as to win.
* This is like an athlete giving up his liberty to eat ice cream so he can win the championship.
