Concluding our series on 1 Corinthians, Ed spoke about the gift of prophecy. We believe in a God who speaks. Learning to hear God’s voice and speaking it out is vital for a healthy church community. Prophecy is a sign to the church that God is amongst us; it builds up and encourages; it speaks to the hearts of those who are unsure about God or don’t believe. These are all reasons Paul encourages the Corinthians, and us, to earnestly desire the gift of prophecy above all else.
