Denilson Santana nasceu em Cruz das Almas, Bahia, Brasil, em 1972. É curador e historiador há mais de vinte anos. Tem pós-graduação em Docência no Ensino Superior com uma pesquisa sobre curadoria e educação. Possui livros na área de história, filosofia e arte contemporânea. É o idealizador da Bienal do Sertão de Artes Visuais, criada em 2012 e que chegará à sua quinta edição em 2021.  

[Denilson Santana was born in Cruz das Almas, Bahia, Brazil, in 1972. He works as a curator and historian for more than 20 years. He is postgraduated in Teaching in Higher Education with a research about curating and education. His books are in the areas of history, philosophy and contemporary art. He created the Bienal do Sertão de Artes Visuais (Sertão Biennial of Visual Arts) in 2012 and it will have its fifth edition on 2021]
