Fernanda Albuquerque nasceu no Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, em 1978. Vive em Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. É curadora e professora da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), com atuação na graduação e pós-graduação. Possui mestrado e doutorado em Artes Visuais pela UFRGS, com estágio na University of the Arts London. Foi Curadora Assistente da 8a Bienal do Mercosul (2011) e Curadora de Artes Visuais do Centro Cultural São Paulo (2008-2010). Desde 2007, desenvolve projetos curatoriais e educativos em instituições como Instituto Tomie Ohtake, Goethe Institut Porto Alegre, Bienal de São Paulo, Santander Cultural, Bienal do Mercosul, Galería Gabriela Mistral, Museu Murillo La Greca e Centro Universitário Maria Antonia, dentre outros.

She's a curator and professor of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, working at the bachelor and postgraduation. She holds a master and PhD in Visuais Arts from the same university and studied a period of her PhD at the University of the Arts London. She was assistant curator at the 8th Mercosul Biennial (2011) and a visual arts curator at the entro CUltural São Paulo (2008-2010).
