Frederik Vervaet is an Associate Professor in Ancient History at Melbourne University. He received his PhD from Ghent University, was a Fellow at UC Berkeley and a visiting scholar at Oxford University. Frederik has written extensively on Roman Public Law, including a book on The High Command in the Roman Republic: The Principle of the Summum Imperium Auspiciumque from 509 to 19 BCE.
