Dinesh Palipana (born 1984) is an Australian doctor, legal professional and disability advocate, founder of Doctors With Disabilities Australia. He is the first quadriplegic medical intern in Queensland, Australia. He is the second person with quadriplegia to graduate as a doctor in Australia and the first with spinal cord injury. Palipana has been an advocate for medical students with disabilities in Australia, where significant barriers exist.
Dr. Palipana tells his inspiring life story, his accident that left him with a spinal chord injury and how he chose to look past it and find fulfillment in life! He also talked the hardships of having a disability in the workplace & about how diversity can really help fight back discrimination and promote inclusivity.
