We know you'd rather skip this step and go straight to the cake tasting, but creating (and sticking to) your budget is arguably the most important part of planning a wedding. And whether you're working with $100 or $100,000, there are some general guidelines that can help you decide what you can afford to spend, and what you'll want to save or splurge on. We've put together a Wedding Budget Checklist that includes the items most weddings entail, as well as the "typical" percentage of your budget you may want to reserve for each one. HUGE caveat: The percentages included are solely based on industry averages and may not be right for you. Feel free to adjust them according to your needs and priorities—just make sure your adjustments add up to 100%.
