NOTE: I may have been mistaken when I said that Abijam and Asa were brothers. They're listed in genealogies as father and son. In this case, Maacah the daughter of Abishalom would be Asa's grandmother and not his mother. The same Hebrew word can be used for both. She would have been Queen Mother. So, it's probably more likely that Abijam was Asa's father and that Maacah was Asa's grandmother.
