* This widow needed a miracle, but it wouldn’t have happened unless she was willing to first give up.

* When she gave to Elisha the miracle was birthed.

* vs 12 - God had not become “hers” yet.

* vs 13-14 - God said He would miraculously provide for her “until the famine ended.”

* His miracle had an expiration, just like mammon did.

* God doesn’t want us living on the miraculous forever.

* He wants us to work and provide for ourselves, using the assets He’s given us to work with.

* God created the process of growth and gave us the ability to work, so He’s the source of our productivity.

* But we have to work!

* vs 23-24 - she now recognized Elijah was a man of God.
