I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.

What did this all-consuming fire from Heaven do? It turned the beast on the altar into a “burnt offering.” No one “offered up” this offering. It was the Lord himself who turned it into a burnt offering. The Lord himself made atonement for the sins of his people!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
