* Daniel 3:18 - we see Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego boldly telling the king “Let it be known” they wouldn’t bow to him.

* Where do you think they got that courage?

* From seeing God’s prophet model the same.

* Elijah had just rebuked the Israelites for wavering between two gods, so he called for a competition.

* He put his reputation where his mouth was.

* God came through for him in a big way because Elijah was more concerned with God’s reputation than his own.

* vs 38 - fire is going to come down, but it will either consume you or your sacrifice.

* Boldness precedes the miraculous.
