* vs 42 - Elijah humbly went up the mountain to be alone - he didn’t stay around to sign autographs.

* This was a 1791 foot climb!

* vs 43-45 - he was believing for a miracle.

* vs 46 - Then, on the same day he climbed down and ran 17 miles to Jezebel!

* Elijah couldn’t have done this on his own - God gave him special strength.

* Do you need special strength to do the thing God is asking you to do?

* Then stand for Him as Elijah did - risk it all for Him.

* vs 19:1-3 - he ran again, this time in his own strength.

* Our greatest weakness is often at the very point of our greatest strength.

* Pay attention when you’ve won a great victory, because failure could be right around the corner if you don’t keep your focus on God.

* Elijah focused on the problem, not the Person of God.
