But the story of Elijah in 1 Kings 19 shows us something different: even in the darkest cave, God is present. After Elijah’s greatest ministry moment, he crashed into despair. He ran, hid, and prayed to die. Yet God met him — not with condemnation, but with food, rest, a gentle whisper, and His presence.
