We explore how the Israelites looked forward to having a king like Solomon, and afterwards looked back on how great the years under Solomon were. Yet they were not without their problems. Jesus is one greater than Solomon. Like the hope built up for Solomon, we think, “If I only had ___, then I would be happy”
